What I liked most...: The 3weeks weather,apart from today it was cold,windy then rained like home. The 1/2 day jaunt of a hired Helicopter, we went island hopping great experience. The self led should I say lost expedition into the unspoilt mountains by means of the narrowest roads,thank god we had the smallest hire car on earth a VW polo driven in first and second gear only. But we saw no mountain/hill men..The donkey (horse) and camel rides,was a good laugh. We stayed in the RIU Meloneros, and Costa Meloneras and you get what you pay for- very very exclusive- gorgeous surroundings,inhabitants of likeminded,appreciative peers

What I liked most...: first time in playa del ingles and the weather was brilliant the people were all brilliant. the drag queen called ionawig was amazing i never laughed so much, if anyone gets a chance to see her perform i strongly suggest you go you wont regret it but be on your gaurd as iona has a few tricks up her dress!!!!

What I cared for least...: the touts - why do they touch you all the time! Gran Canaria is 'Sin City' with Prostitutes, drug dealers and not forgetting, english and Irish louts. Also the Cochroaches, especially flying ones!

We loved it...
What I cared for least...: coming home, not getting to spend time with my guy in Branigans, the electric kept going off in our apartment and we had to get ready in the dark..

Playa Del Ingles V's Puerto Rico
What I liked most...: I have stayed at both these places a view times. Puerto Rico is some where you can have a good laugh with you partner and family, there is nothing much to do after 3am. Playa Del Ingles is more buzzing and is a place for groups and single people! Its only a few quid from one place to the other, so visit both wjile your there!
What I cared for least...: The price of the Aqua Park in Puerto Rico...Jokers is a Joke!!!!!!

What I liked most...: Had an amazin time stayed in agaete park apts there very nice! nitelife is brill epecially the fidler which doesnt close till 7am!ALso the foam party which is on a thurs nite up the mountains its unbelievable highly reccomemd it so much fun! big shout out 2 all the dublin boys we meet miss havin the craic!

Long time looker, first time writer
What I liked most...: Went for 4weeks stayed for 8,we just got back GC. We stayed Las Palmas,Mogan with mates and down Maspolomas. We liked the sun,heat the slower pace,the peace and quiet. The designer shops and just hanging out in the promanade restraunts, bars and cafe's watching the world go by at a much much slower quieter pace.
What I cared for least...: Inflated prices, Noisey inconsiderate people.

What I liked most...: i lived there for 2 months and i loved every minute of it, i really want to go back but had to come home for exams, sniff sniff. hoping to go back in october. my friends are still out there at the moment and they are having a ball. they say the weather is fantastic. IRISH JOCKEY AND RANDY LEPERCHAUN, savage craic to be had there. i really miss the place! i recommend it to anyone
What I cared for least...: becareful of the black ladies that want to shake your hand they slip on a bracelet on your wrist and it cost �15 or more to get off. also watch your drinks out there!!

What I liked most...: The Scandic bar was fantasic. Our best nights out were here. Mario who works there is so gorgeous and a brilliant pull too! Tip the barmaid and she'll give you and your mates free shots. Legend!

Puerto Rico Best Holiday i Ever Had
What I liked most...: I loved everything about this holiday but i thought the nightlife was excellent, i loved Piccadilly's music pub in the commercial centre it is an absolute must as the staff are amazing especially Mohammed and the booze buckets are an absolute bargin!!!!!!!!! The best place to eat has to be Flicks in the Europa Centre the staff are really friendly and get to know all the customers once you go to Flicks you will become a regular, the food is amazing and Seth's frienly charm will capture you. The best act in town has to be a young guy called Chris he plays all the pubs everyone knows him, he plays a show of Rock songs all live and he is really good, fabulous entertainer!!!
What I cared for least...: Some of the club and restaurant touts would get on your nerves after a while and its a bit of a culture shock when you first step into the Commercial Centre especially as a young female.

What I cared for least...: Do people living north of watford get a group discount when they take their coupons out of the big issue to the cash convertors to book, they were there in PR in some big numbers last week ,is it buy one ticket get 1000 free. everybody was northern or scottish. We had a couple above us with theyre kids and didnt everyone know it Loud and drunk, they was kicking off with anyone, and what is a Rab? Didnt meet anyone from the south where do you all go?

What I liked most...: I was staying in the malibu apartments!! what a great place to stay. A was there with ma brother and we met loads of scottish folk. One of the great nights we had was when we put a cd called scottish clubland on (it was mine) and everybody in the apartment got up to sing along to the flower of scotland they said that was the best night that they ever had. Hi Kevin and Javier. A want ma cd back. c u in October coming back wi Craig and Benny and some of my friends.

A Holiday Romance
What I liked most...: The clement weather was most pleasing to a elderly gentleman such as I. The dulcet tones of the waves lapping against the golden sands gave me much pleasure, as I wheeled myself into an upright position. I sampled many local delights of the edible persuasion - safe in the knowledge that my helper was on hand to wipe the crumbs from my mouth. I would savour the bittersweet traces of gazpacho soup in my feral beard. As I lowered myself into a reclining posture, the gentle wind would ruffle my thick mane. A charming young maiden did cross my path and whispered in my ear: "You are a fine figure of a man", and an hour later she was riding me like a champion jockey. It brings a tear to my eye whenever I smell her musky flavour on my fingers.
What I cared for least...: I was caught unawares as she thrust a delicate finger in my posterior. Not altogether unpleasant, but a new experience for a gentleman such as I.

What I liked most...: The weather is amazing all year round, we've been there 4 times now! Playa del ingles is the place to go! We've stayed in the Corona Blanca 3 times, its dead in the centre of everything especially the kasbah; the staff are cool, the apartments are neat! Love to live in Playa del ingles!
What I cared for least...: I couldn't stand the time share touts(con men), the black people selling junk and the cockroaches (I don't mind them apart from when they're in my apartment!). The island is full of crooks,conmen and people running away from their pasts.

What I liked most...: All the times I have been to Gran Canaria, I have had an excellent time. Especially in the Barbados Apartments in Playa Del Ingles. Although quite noisy in the hight of season, the good points over do the bad. Its right in the middle of everything, the accomadation is good and the staff are second to none. I have made loadsa friends there. Cant wait to go and live there when I finish college!!!! Everyone should go, its amazing!!

What I liked most...: Its been a while since I have been there, used to go just about every year. Stayed at the Green Gardens Apts, great place and the best staff, especially Juan!!The beach is the best, I'm Irish, so all you irish girls and lads make sure you get to see it, keep one day free from hangovers hahaha. The Irish Jockey is wonderful, love all the gang there the best time of my life. Don't know if it is still there so if you go let me know that the Irish Jockey is still going strong. Can get back as I live in the USA now. If your going there for the first time, when the african women try to sell you stuff just walk away. If you want to buy electrial stuff, ask at your hotel or apt or your holiday rep for the most reliable place to buy. Don't get talk into time share holiday deals its all a scam. But the most important thing is to have fun in the sun. I love my many years going there and learned all about the scams etc. Best shopping is in the city of Las Palmas.

Best Holidays Ever!
What I liked most...: I loved everything about Puerto Rico from the sun and the beaches to the food and the nightlife. We spent most of our time in Jack Daniels. The staff in there are so nice and friendly (especially the lovely Carlos!) The DJ is amazing and plays the best tunes out. If anyone else has been here let me know your opinion.
What I cared for least...: Having to come back to the typical scottish weather =(

What I liked most...: everything! i loved this one restaurant called "el velero" and this one waiter was fantastic and so friendly (and fit!) i also liked a big place called "la bolera" and the chef waiter guy was not bad! apartment was brilliant, just down from europa centre if you have any pics of el velero or la bolera get in touch!

The yumbo
What I liked most...: I liked everything the most but my favourite thing was definitly the yumbo and more specifically La Belle. I have been going to La Belle for 5 years now and absouletely love it. I have become part of the family there now. I dance with Francisco nearly every night there. everything about Gran Canaria is fab so make sure you go there and pop in to the yumbo and to see the cast of La Belle.

What I liked most...: EVERYTHING! The place is wicked. Me (Louise) and my mate (Becky) have just got back from our second stay at the Los Juncos in Playa del Ingles and have to say that our Reps - Mark and Tony - were THE BEST EVER. The pair of them were hilarious AND gorgeous! We will definitely be going back again. A big HI to anyone who reads this who was at the Los Juncos over the last two weeks - hope Chesney behaved himself when we left!!!!

Worst Restaurant/Bar in Playa del Ingles
What I liked most...: Everywhere in Gran Canaria especially the Kasbah were ther is a briiliant Bar called Harp.
What I cared for least...: Big Ben, Bar/Restaurant in Jarden Del Sol,Playa del Ingles .We went in there was a PR who was friendly, we ate there the food was awful, we were unwell after and we waited for the promised drag act,which never came as there were not enough people in the Bar and Mel the boss, sent the act away as he would not pay fo0r him unlees the bar was full. Its terrible and i am annoyed as i wasted not only one night of my holiday but then had to pay for medication to get over a very bad bout of food poisoning!

Maspalomas: the place to be
What I liked most...: Het strand en de duinen zijn een must, vooral voor de naturisten onder ons. "El Velero" was ons favoriete restaurantje (lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel). Wanneer we aan het einde van de middag een terrasje pikten bij "Cactus Faro", kregen we steevast nog een drankje aangeboden, soms zelfs een karaf Sangria! 's Avonds waren we meestal te vinden in Irish Pub "The Nineteenth Hole" (gelegen aan de boulevard Meloneras); 4 x per week trad Gerry Lane op. Hij speelde voornamelijk rock en bluesmuziek en wel heel erg goed! De sfeer was er elke keer weer fantastisch en het publiek dolenthousiast; echt een aanrader.
What I cared for least...: De horlogeverkopers. Uiteraard om weer terug te moeten naar het koude troosteloze Nederland.

What I liked most...: there r lots of things i love about gran canaria, ive been going regular 4 over 10 years ive stayed in lots of appartments they r usually basic but clean , the weather is always good, we usually go in march 4 the festival its good fun, most things r well priced and there is something 4 every 1 , the yumbo centre is great and the cafe la belle does a fantastic drag show good fun 4 every 1 gay or not, im not , i take my kids and i feel safe and happy , its great 4 kids a day trip to lora park in tenerife is well worth it and harleys bar in ingles is fab .great tribute shows the elvis is brilliant (he should have won the gmtv he was robbed)the eat all u want chinese is yummy and very good value. and the street artists provide a brillint keepsake 2 bring home. if your thinking of goin go 4 it and if youve allready been then you know what i mean.a walk on the dunes in the morning is an eye opener (naked volly ball looks dangerous)but fun

What I liked most...: Ive never been to a pub like this in my life, if you go to puerto rico you have to go there the place is brilliant. The DJ (Russell) is the best in the whole resort he'll make your night fly in cause your having such a good time, the barman was excellent as well (heaffy) had 'f*ck off' tattoed on his bottom lip, the place is soooo go you have to go especially for jackass endurance, hilarous to watch but dont enter unless your mentally ill! Music to loud as well clubs were 24hrs should have closed by 11pm for all the holiday makers to sleep no one wants to be out after 11pm! No respect for there elders im 76 and i asked the manager to move us to a quiter room he refused and said he had none poppycocks! did`nt belive him 4 a minuet.

What I liked most...: Just got back after 2 wks of paradise. If you like some good hard rock & metal music you'll be mad not to go to RELAX in Kasbah centre. DJ will make sure to play some mind blowing stuff and beer is less than �1. Drive to Roque Nublo and climbing up to the top was one of the best things we've done and playa de Amadores is the best beach on the island. We'll come again!

What I liked most...: I have been there two times now, we stayed in Tobago and Maracaibo, both appartments where just fine. Food in El Torro is the best, and the staff is MAD!!! So we're going back in january and i am sure i will be great!!!

What I liked most...: Piccadilys, its the best bar ever everyones sooooooo friendly and you can get a great bucket of cocktail which gets u pretty hammered for only a few euros i recommened it to anyone and the PR Simon is so lovely, I love him - but hands off!!! all the other bars are great to, Kelly in MGMs is lovely and frienly and the same for Nina from Snoopys and all the staff at Linekars!

What I liked most...: Went to playa del ingles last feb and the weather and night life was fantastic. Sayed in bungalow canaries which is the best accomadation, really clean and quiet even though its right beside the centre! going back again this september!

It was a fantstic holiday, and the appartments where fantasic!! 5 mins walk to beach and 2 mins walk to hippadrome, and kasbah shoppin centre. The restaurant service is fantastic, and the temperature was really gud! 36 degrees. Best highlight, the crepe stall down near beach and the beach at nite time!

What I liked most...: stayed at maspalomas which was a big dead but a 5 minute tai ride into playa del ingles soon sorted us out, the kasbah rocks, chic,joy and pacha were mad. any one who is think of goin here JUST DO IT. one bar to recomend is malibu beach. the music is mad, barmaid were top and the drinks were cheap ( plus free entrace to chic + cream)beware chic +cream dusnt get busy until about 3 and closes at 7. a top quality night. we went out when it was light and came home when it was light the next day. MENTAL !!!!!!!!!!!!

What I liked most...: How long have u got? The food was yummy and cheap. But the best place in Puerto Rico had to have been the bar, Tobogan Fun Paradise. Everyone was so friendly, big thankyou to Sergio and Justin, two wicked guys!! The beaches were absolutely amazing!!!cant w8 2 go back next year!!xx

What I liked most...: kind and helpful people.restaurant staff could speak near enough every language so i spoke in french,my dad spoke in german,my mum spoke in spanish,and my brothers spoke in english.they found our humour funny so they gave us a free drink each and one free meal(playa del ingles).AIRTOURS REPS ARE THE BIZ.thanks airtours

What I liked most...: walhalla had pool side bar which served xtra nice food.people were friendly.no cockroaches!!sunwing looked nicer but had less enthusiastic staff but was still good.both situated near everything!!!!
What I cared for least...: walhalla managed to flood our room with a burst boiler and we had our money stolen whilst in bed.sunwing had no problems but i didnt enjoy the stay as much, however we did get an upgraded apartment for no xtra cost as there were no studios left.go to playa del ingles cuz it is the best resort in gran canaria(maspalomas is good too)

What I liked most...: i went shopping most days as everything was sooo cheap and was of high quality. No nasty insects. Lovely temperature. wonderful leisure activities. Kind people and facinating beaches.
What I cared for least...: wild cats were a bit scary at night as their eyes lit up and scared us. streets are very similar and we got lost in the firsat two days

What I liked most...: Alles....ik ga voor de vierde keer in twee jaar terug en het verveeld nog niet. Vooral de stapcirkel bij kasbah, met o.a. scandic, zig zags, enz. Leuke obers en altijd genoeg budweiser op voorraad. Over twee weken ga ik weer voor 8 dagen, voor degene die ook gaan......tot dan. Tip: probeer een keer het restaurant cadaques !!!!

What I liked most...: Found some nice places to eat and quite reasonably priced. The weather was nice and warm which made cooling boat trips a must. The town as a whole semed to be kept clean considering the amount of dust that must be present due to the heat .
What I cared for least...: The African girls in the park. They conned my daughter out of 2000 pesetas for a piece of string that they wrapped around her wrist. If someone in the UK grabs your hand without your consent it is assault. My family and many guest I spoke to will never return to PR due to this modern day highway robbery that the Police and local tourist boards seem to turn a blind eye to.

What I liked most...: het klimaat en de sfeer was uitstekend. De hotels waren zeer aangenaam. Er is ook altijd iets leuks te doen. Gezellige terras en uit eten geen probleem. Tevens hadden de meeste hotels goede buffeten.
What I cared for least...: Helaas waren er kakkelakken, maar de bevolking deed er alles aan om deze ongedierte te bestrijden. De mensen van timesharing op straat.

Puerto rubbish and Las Palmas - rubbish
What I liked most...: Nothing. Typical naff Spanish place left to go to dogs and rampant commercialism.
What I cared for least...: Puerto Rico (or Porta Rika as pronounced by our Cockney sounding rep) looks nice from 2 miles out to see but in reality is a built up nonsense though not nearly as bad as Playa. The main commercial centre looks like Bracknell Town Centre and has the typical naff English bars. If you want a decent meal without being ripped off head for the Harbour front. Cockroaches everywhere. Beaches poor. Rude Spaniards. Drunk scousers. Terrible Terrible. Pathetic place. If you like to balance sun with exploring forget this island. It is truly shocking.

What I liked most...: Sun, Beaches, Food, Accom good at Green Golf. Friendly, definately going again a.s.a.p. Good weather even in mid January. Can't wait to go again this Jan/Feb. Try Faro 2, remember the exit!

What I liked most...: Everything about this hotel is fantastic. Highly reccommended. This hotel has its own beach in the complex. Food very good, Entertainment good.
What I cared for least...: Unfortunately this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It is 1.3km away from the beach which is a bit of a trek especially if it is HOT!! Timeshare touts are an arse but do leave you alone once you have turned brown! The pool is freezing.

What I liked most...: I liked the weather and all of the totty over there. The beach at Playa del ingles was fantastic. The Kasbah and the Irish centre were excellent but if a bit homaphobic do not go to the Yumbo Centre. Linekers is well worth a look!!!!!
What I cared for least...: The mornings which I did not see many of. walking back from some girls apartment which was miles. Cockroaches and by the way it is not that cheap, do not under estimate your expenses. Most bars do 2 for 1 which makes it a little cheaper.

What I liked most...: El Tobogan Fun Paradise - It's a bar in Puerto Rico harbour. The people there are so friendly (Especially the owner, Domingo)and the service is great! There's a restaurant beside it called the Bahia Playa, the food there was excellent. Also, the Acuarium Cat boat trips are really good. Oh, and the Mojo (Moho) sauce that is served with canarian potatoes

Beautifull men
What I liked most...: I went there by myself. I met a lot of beautifull men that are extremely charming. I met Juan and he stayed with me all the time I stayed there (La Gran Canaria) He is an excellent kisser and lover. I loved his jet black hair and hairy chest. We both cried when I had to leave. I am going at the end of the summer (2000)to live there and be with him once again. I miss him a lot. Love and kisses, ENRICO

The clubs and beaches
What I liked most...: one of the thing's i liked most was the amount of women on the island,one problem though,they are all taken. It truly is a beautiful place, my only problem was that I went alone. "never again" I recommend it, but go with buddies

What I liked most...: The fact that every Spainish person in the resort was extreemly good looking. I came home deciding that I am going to live their when I can afford it. I am absolutely obsessed with Cristian; one of the babes that I met!!!!!
What I cared for least...: Coming back home. I almost cried. It is the most beautiful place that I have and ever will go to. Truely excellent!!!!
A great night out.
What I liked most...: Was the long beaches, very good for relaxing on after a good night out with the lasses. And the beer and blokes.
What I cared for least...: The hangovers that I woke up with every morning.
Cold.
What I liked most...: The street parties in the north are absolutely the best and the music is incredible!! I also got to see my family and roots even though I don't speak spanish.
What I cared for least...: The loud motorbikes,the ocean was cold in the north and in the south it wasn't much better.

What I liked most...: I had a great time throughout the holiday, I never ran out of things to do. The complex layed on great entertainment throughout the day and at night for all ages. And they have a very sexy entertainer called Martin who I am now infatuated with!!!
What I cared for least...: Coming home!! I want to go back there now!!! Oh, and the food wasn't great.

What I liked most...: all year sun, good food, lovely friendly people...nothing is too much trouble..clean long sandy beaches. absoulute heaven. as nudists we enjoyed maspolomas beach the most.

Puerto Rico
What I liked most...: The beach, the sun, the good standard on the accommodations. Playa Amadores in Puerto Rico is an excellent beach with all conveniences. In fact everything you need for a nice sunny holiday is right there in Puerto Rico.
What I cared for least...: The way the spanish shop keepers behaved. I have never experienced so much cheating in my life. The worst of them all were -- Europa Shop -- (selling cameras) in the shopping center of Puerto Rico. Be warned!! - stay away.

Fantastic Holiday
What I liked most...: This was our best holiday ever. Stayed at Corona Roja apartments in Play de ingles'. Fantastic. The night life really made our holiday. The Fiddlers club in the Irish centre was the best. Mainly Irish, scottish and German people visit this Island. Definitely the best and would certainly recommend it for anyone to go
What I cared for least...: The people down at the beach who annoyed you to buy something. Can be very agressive.

What I liked most...: The Puerto Rico nightlife, escpecially the Picadilly and Bora Bora bars. The staff were all so friendly. A quick mention to Driss(Picadilly) and all the lads at the Bora Bora, including Martin (spish), danny cool, Bruno(dj)-he played all our tunes, Mohammed, and lastly the most gorgeous man alive Maxi!!!

The Men
What I liked most...: The best thing in Puerto Rico is the bar staff in Harleys. I really miss Lucio, Tony, Benito, Carlos and the gorgeous PR Tommy. Thanks for making my holiday so much fun.
What I cared for least...: My last day when I had to say good bye to Lucio. He was a great friend and an excellent kisser! I almost cried when I had to leave.

What I liked most...: stayed at corona roja not bad apartments loved the irish centre nice people running the bars karaoke in irish bar was class everyone who got up went in the final hahaha kasbah was the place to be after 2am loads of top tottie to chill with
